Jony's Recap || Saturday, 25 May
We're making shmooves BABY.
Our new strategies are finally bringing in the goods. Come see what we got up to!
Here's what went down:
Newsletter subs have gone through the roof YOW
YAP short views are UP ⬆️
IG and TT followership is climbing 🐒
Team posts on LinkedIn are carrying 💪
We got to know how to better communicate with each other as we become a bigger team
The results are finally flowing through (can you tell I'm hyped as f*ck?). The hardest part is always starting. Now that we've got the momentum, BRING IT ON.
Enjoy your weekend!

We've started working really hard to get more subscribers from our IG. And the new strategy got us 400 subscribers just yesterday--a new record!
This week, we learnt:
I'm still experimenting with what subject lines get clicked. And right now, the results aren't what I expect. Time for (you guessed it) more testing!
Soph has been writing longer articles this week. We've learnt this is a good way to include more nuance about the topic. It also means we can give the bigger picture of a campaign rather than just covering one small part.
Our favourite article of the week: Patagonia's "Don't buy this jacket" campaign made us want to buy this jacket

YAP Podcast
Stan and Jony were back on the air! Our YAP shorts are doing better on YT and TT, which means we’re finally out of 300 view jail.
This week, we learnt:
Getting more interactive with the LIVE throughout the whole episode results in higher views on the LIVE. It’s also helping us build up a community across our YAP Podcast channels.
I’ve been more intentional about creating a good hook in the shorts. Using different colour subtitles and sound effects seems to be getting us more views, so we’ll keep going in that direction.

TAS Shortform Video Storylines
We relaunched service content on TikTok and Instagram to build better relationships with our audience. Both our approaches on TikTok and Instagram performed really well.
This week, we learnt:
We saw meaningful results sharing metric-based service content. It was a reminder to show our audience behind the scenes more often to bring them into our team.
We've never included stories in our strategy before this week. So we learnt how to incorporate them seamlessly into our day-to-day and give real-time updates.
Our best performing video on TikTok: Jony asking the people to prove Stan wrong
Our best performing video on IG: Jony’s water bucket collab with Jackie
Stan's best performing video: Stansplaining clip featuring Hercules Noble

Although we've rolled out memes on our TAS LinkedIn, our team posts are still outperforming them by a long shot.
This week, we learnt:
We're still trying to figure out what type of posts will help us get more engagement. So far we've tried carousels, memes, videos, and static posts. What should we try next?
We need to find more brands who are doing really well on LinkedIn to see what kind of brand posts do well. It's much easier to get traction on personal LinkedIn accounts vs. company pages.
Stan's best performing post: The biggest question I'm asking myself right now
Our favourite team post (from Laura): I increased my TikTok viewership by 263,579 without recording a single video

TAS IRL
As much as we try to capture all our shenanigans for your entertainment, sometimes cool sh*t happens offline.
Here's what's gone down at TAS IRL this week:
It was Claire’s Birthday! Claire, our co-founder, is the heart and soul of our office. We were super happy to NOT see either her or Stanley on her birthday while they were out enjoying celebrating together! We love you, Claire-Bear!
We had a colour code session with Simon. Simon has worked with us over the last few years, to help our team understand themselves and each other better, giving us shared ways of communicating with one another! The newbies did their personality tests, and then we went through everyone's results together!
Burger Fuel shouted us a trip to the movies. Chey, Danya, and Madi went to an exclusive screening of Mad Max: Furiosa courtesy of our lovely clients Burger Fuel - thanks guys!
