So, What’s the Tea?

There’s a lot to be excited about in the world of TV right now.

And you know what that means! Plenty of content inspo for your brand.

Here's a quick overview of what to look out for:

RuPaul's Drag Race: Currently in its 16th season, this show is full of viral moments. If it's relevant to your brand, get involved with this pop culture phenomenon by creating some themed content. You could try putting your own twist on some of the popular challenges like “lip sync for your life”. Or you could create an office skit where your boss uses RuPaul’s infamous catchphrases!

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire: The much-anticipated sequel to the Godzilla X Kong movie is about to hit cinemas. To bring this into your content, you could recreate these legendary characters' dynamics within your team. You could even make funny POV's featuring characters in the movie. Releases March 29.

Ricky Stanicky: Have you heard about John Cena's hilarious marketing stunt? To promote the release of Ricky Stanicky, he created an OnlyFans account in the name of his character. Genius! If you’re feeling risky, you can create an OnlyFans page for your company. Then use this as inspo to create a whole TikTok series around it. Releases March 7.

We know these movies and shows are going to have their viral moment on social media. People are already talking! So if you haven't jumped into the mix, start thinking about how your brand can take advantage of what's happening right now.

Disney + Fortnite - A Match Made in the Metaverse?

Disney's just invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite. This power move is already creating ripple effects across the marketing landscape.

Imagine Mickey Mouse doing the floss alongside Thanos in a virtual dance party. Sounds bizarre, right? But that's just one mind-bending possibility unlocked by this deal.

Why you need to pay attention:

  • Big players are joining forces. Disney brings its beloved characters and huge collection of stories to the table. Epic Games offers expertise in virtual worlds plus their own a massive audience. Together, they form a marketing powerhouse.

  • The rise of metaverse marketing. Get ready for creative ads, immersive experiences, and virtual product placement.

  • New ways to gather valuable data. By working together, Disney and Epic Games can learn more about how users behave in virtual worlds. This information will help them make smarter marketing decisions.

  • The future is interactive. Forget boring ads. To grab people's attention, brands need to tell exciting stories, create games, and involve users in making content.

Why this matters for your brand:

The Disney-Epic Games deal is a wake-up call for marketers. Ignoring the metaverse and its evolving user preferences is like missing the entire internet revolution in the 90s.

Here's how to make sure you stay relevant:

  • Explore virtual worlds. Think about teaming up with platforms like Fortnite or Roblox. You could even create your own virtual experiences.

  • Make it interactive. Encourage your audience to create content around your brand. Tell engaging stories that draw them into your universe.

  • Look beyond numbers. Understand who your customers are in virtual spaces and what they like to do there.

  • Data is your friend. Learn from how people interact in virtual worlds to make your marketing more effective.

The metaverse isn't a far-off idea. It's here, and it's ready for brands to make their mark. Don't miss out on the chance to be part of something huge. Start exploring now, and your brand could be the next big thing in the virtual world.

Q - What do you look for when hiring at TAS? - Melinda

Hey Melinda,

The #1 thing we look for when interviewing for our team is cultural fit. This means we want people who share our values. Because if someone's super talented at video editing or copywriting but they're a nightmare to be around, we're not interested!

So what are our TAS values?

Don't be a dick. If you mess up, take responsibility. And if someone else messes up, let them know about it but still be respectful.

Grow or die. What worked a month ago on social media isn't going to work today. Everyone on our team has to be on board with constantly learning and evolving.

Challenge the status quo. A huge part of our culture is questioning everything. We find opportunities doing what no one else is.

If we find someone who fits all these, we can teach them just about everything else they need to know.
