So, What’s the Tea?

It's Paris Fashion Week, arguably the most iconic and star-studded week of fashion month.

If you haven't jumped on the fashion month train in your content so far, that's okay. You were just saving the best for last (duh).

Paris Fashion Week is a powerhouse for influence and inspiration.

So how can your brand utilise this power?

  • Keep an eye on the trends or recurring themes as they pop up. These will inevitably trickle down into mainstream media and content creators - so get ahead of the curve. If it fits your brand, you can create videos reacting to your favourite looks or ask your audience to share theirs.

  • Apply design principles to your content. Is red popping through this year? Add a splash of this to your posts and let the algorithm do its thing. Are we favouring structure over chaos? Follow suit by adding more uniform lines and applying the rule of thirds to your designs/ articles.

  • Watch out for celeb appearances. There are bound to be tons of viral celeb moments this week. Get ready to clip, remix or recreate these in your content if it’s relevant for your brand.

Honestly, the possibilities are endless. I mean, it's one of the most inspiring weeks of the entire year so get creative with it!

In other news:

YouTube Creators Dan & Phil Raised Over $100,000 for Humanitarian Aid in Gaza.

Now, raising this much for charity isn't unheard of. Doing it on livestream is.

Meaning?

The pair have created a deep & authentic connection with their audience. Their loyal fan base has followed along with their journey for almost two decades.

This incredible fundraising feat highlights the importance of creating a meaningful bond between you, your audience, and your values.

This is how you build community.

A community you can mobilise, just as Dan & Phil did here. Something to think about for your brand and your online presence.

And if you aren't already looking into community management, I suggest you do so, like yesterday.

Apple’s Taking on Google (again)

Last week, Apple announced the release of its brand new sports-related app--Apple Sports. This means Google's now got some stiff competition in catering to sports fans.

Apple Sports, which is currently available in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, could cause some serious disruption to Google's grip on avid sports fans.

What does this mean?

Apple Sports offers quick and easy access to real-time scores, statistics, and more. This has created some serious competition with Google’s sports features. After all, the app gives users instant access to everything they need to know about their favourite teams. There’s no longer a need to Google it.

How will it work?

For now, it’s a relatively simple app that displays your favorite teams and scores all in one place. It even provides betting-odds information. The app currently supports information about MLS, NBA, NHL, and NCAA basketball. Unfortunately, the app is yet to support NFL, MLB UFC, and F1 stats.

Why is this app a big deal?

Apple is a tech giant. So they're coming after almost every category of technological advances (just look at their recent release of the Apple Vision Pro). If there’s room for competition, Apple is bound to join the game.

And it's clear Apple has prioritised catering to sports fans. They've already acquired MLS broadcast rights and secured a deal with soccer icon Lionel Messi. Apple has also locked down Friday Night Baseball rights and financed several sports documentaries for Apple TV+.

Although Apple bid for NFL streaming rights last year, it lost to Google's YouTubeTV.

With the release of Apple Sports, we're interested to see how this new chapter of Apple vs. Google unfolds.

Send your link to everyone you know. Put it on your socials! Remember, it's a competition, so get creative. Soon we’ll have a leaderboard set up so everyone can see who's winning.

The first person to reach 1000 referrals gets $5000. You can use that to come spend a week with us or just take the money and run.

And if you decide to come hang out with us (DO IT) we'll help you with your social media strategy and create some content together.

Good luck!
