3 Tips to help you (finally) start posting consistently
Together with Publer

One of the biggest challenges of growing an audience is putting out content on a regular basis. To avoid the overwhelm of daily content creation, develop an easy-to-replicate content style, create in bulk and use a scheduling tool so you can ‘set and forget’.
‘How am I supposed to create and post content EVERY DAY?’
This is the #1 question you, our readers, ask us.
And we get it.
Coming up with ideas and keeping to a posting schedule is not easy.
And, unfortunately, posting content tends to be one of the first things to drop off the to-do list when we’re busy.
But we know the platforms reward accounts that post consistently.
So if you want to grow your audience, you have to figure out how to get that content out there, even when you don’t feel like it!
The secret is creating in bulk rather than trying to make content every single day.
We asked our in-house content strategist Jony Lee (@jonymlee) for her advice on how to batch create your content (and stick to your posting schedule!). She's helped us put together a few ideas for you. So let’s dive into…
3 tips for making amazing bulk content:
1. Carve out your time
Before making a content creation plan, you need to understand the time you've got to work with. Because if you start by putting unrealistic expectations on yourself, that’s not going to end well.
Everyone's schedule is different and we've all got other things we need to do other than make content. So unless you're a full-time creator or social media manager, you need to be very real about how much time you've got for ideation, filming, editing and posting.
If you're anything like Jony, you've only got about 5 hours per week you can dedicate to content.
Once you understand how much time you have available, choose content ideas that fit within those constraints. Over time, you'll be able to measure if you're completing each stage in a reasonable time. In Jony's case, she aims to make content she can film in 15 minutes and edit in 10.
Many creators struggle with consistency because they don't plan their time well, or they run with ideas that are just aren't feasible within the time they have.
2. Have an easily repeatable content style (or, as Jony calls it, ERC)
Once you know your parameters for making your content, you can start to thinking about how to scale your content creation.
'Easily repeatable content' is totally subjective and depends on how much time you've got, how often you want to post, and where your interests lie. Some may find it easier to film TikTok skits, while others might prefer sincere written posts for LinkedIn.
The key thing is your idea should be infinitely repeatable with minor variations. This approach prevents you from burning out and ensures a consistent flow of ideas.
Take Jony's 'Cheers Day' videos, for example, where every day she'd try clinking drinks with NYC pedestrians. The execution was exactly the same in each video, the only variable being the people she'd approach.
Once you've built a solid posting routine, start looking into your analytics. Check out what's working and experiment with the timing and frequency of your posts to see what performs best.
It's all trial and error, so don’t worry if your first idea flops. Establishing a consistent schedule and understanding engagement trends matters more than anything!
3. Use a publishing tool to ‘set and forget’ your content
Don't just wait around for the right time to post your content - schedule it in advance so you don’t have to remember to post each day.
For our team, using a scheduling platform like Publer makes this super quick and easy.
The tool lets you draft and manage posts across all your socials and schedule a whole month's worth of content (if you want!). This means all your posts go out automatically without you having to post them manually on each platform.
Publer also lets you 'Auto-Schedule,' which adds your posts to a custom schedule you've created so you don’t even have to remember what time you usually post on each platform—it will sort that for you. You can also set up 'Recurring' posts if you have content you want to share periodically.
On top of that, the platform's bulk upload feature lets you import media from places like Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Unsplash so you can build your own media library on the platform.
We've scheduled thousands of posts on Publer, not only for our clients, but for the TAS brand and team members' personal brands too!
It's helped us be more efficient and means we can keep content going out at the same time every day.
So there you have it. 3 ways you can start being more consistent with your posting.
Although these strategies will definitely help you, there’s no magic formula to making it easy to always post.
At the end of the day, you just gotta carve out the time and get to work!
